About Myths and Legends
I assume you have come here to find out about what this TCG
has to
offer. As a brief introduction we are a TCG that focuses on ancient
pagan mythology, legends, and stories/fairy tales. Myths are tales about our world and how it came into
being. Some people from different cultures have been led to believe
these tales, but they may not necessarily be true. This TCG divides
myths into their respective culture/civilization, as well as other various categories such as tales and creatures.
Warning: many of the images contain nudity or violence due to the subject matter and artistic interpretation.
Never played an online TCG before?
No fear, I
understand your position! I thought that they were quite hard to
understand when I first heard of them, but they're really simple. The
aim of the game is to collect different sets of cards. You can earn
cards by a variety of means
and once you've earned cards you can trade them with other members to
get the cards you need to complete your set! Each time you complete a
set you will earn more cards, and get listed in the hall of fame!

Want to Join?
It's easy to join an online TCG. All you need is some
webspace
(this can be free or paid hosting, it's all up to you) and an interest
in the TCG subject. Before you join you will need to set up your
trading post using your webspace. Your trading post should include a
level badge, your cards, your card count and card worth, your currency,
a link back to Myths and Legends (so people know where to go if they
want to join) and most importantly a trade log stating how you obtained
all of your cards. If you're not sure what a trading post should look

When you join Myths and Legends you
will receive a
starter pack with your beginning cards. This pack will contain a few cards for you to start your
gaming with, which you may keep or trade for cards you want. You will receive 11 cards worth a value of 14:
- 2 cards from choice deck worth )
- 6 cards from random decks worth 1
- 3 cards from random decks worth 2
You will also receive 1 of each type of coin
- that's 85 coins!
Also, if your choice deck is worth 2, we'll give you one from that set and another random worth 1 for a total of 10 cards worth 14.
Because you're here reading this, why don't you tell me your
favorite deity in the comments box when you sign up and you'll get one more card worth 1 in your starter set.
Earning Cards
You can earn cards in a variety of different ways at this TCG. Below is
a list of a few ways you could earn more cards:
1. Trade with other members
2. Receive cards from updates
3. Play games
4. Participate in contests
5. Level up
6. Master sets
7. Donate
8. Trade in Scrolls
Currency
Like most TCGs, this one also has a form of currency. It comes in four
different types - bronze, silver, gold and platinum. Each type of coin
has a different worth - 05, 10, 20 and 50 respectively. Once you earn
enough coins you can purchase cards from the store.
Scrolls
You may find hidden card scrolls along the site offering choice or random cards. Sometimes I may give them away in updates, hide them at random along the site or give them as prizes for games. When you find or win one, save it and trade it or them in at your leisure. It's up to you to cash in your Scrolls for cards.
Levels
When you first join I will
put you on the pending members list until you put your starter pack
cards on your trading post, then I will move you to level one. If you
don't have your starter pack up within two weeks of joining you will be
sent an email and moved onto the troubled list. You will then have two
weeks to respond to my email or put up your starter pack before you can
be moved up to level one.
The other levels are based on your card worth (not card count) and are
as follows:

As you can see by the levels, as soon as you reach level 10, your card requirements to increase a level will double.
Level 1-10: Each time you level up you will receive 1 card of
choice (worth 1), 4 random cards (worth 1), 1 random card (worth 2), and a silver and gold piece.
Level 11-20: Each time you level up you will receive 2 cards of
choice (worth 1) or 1 card of choice (worth 2), 5 random cards (worth 1), 2 random card (worth 2), and a silver and gold piece.
Mastering a Set
Each time you master a set (collect all of the cards corresponding to
one particular set) you will receive rewards. The rewards are as
follows:
* Regular & Tales: 2 cards of choice
worth 1 (or 1 worth 2), 4 random cards worth 1, 1 random (worth 2), a gold coin, and a platinum coin. First masters will get an additional random special card and trophy.
* Special: 2 cards of choice worth 1 (or 1 worth 2), 4
random cards worth 1, 2 random card worth 2, a gold coin, and a platinum coin. First masters will get an additional random special card and trophy that looks like this with the deck name on it.
Once you have mastered a set you may take a master badge and display it
on your trading post. You will also be listed in the hall of fame. If
you were the first master of a particular set you will also be awarded
a small trophy on the hall of fame as a prize.
Referrals
Each time you refer a member to the TCG (they will state your name when
they sign up) you will receive 2 random cards and 20 gold, so let
everyone know that we exist! Remember: they must state your exact
member name as it is on the member list (e.g. if your member name is
Katherine2 you must be referred under the name Katherine2 and not just
Katherine).
Cards
The Cards on Myths and Legends have different values applied to them.
*Regular (worth 1)
*Special (worth 2) - Special cards will also include all festival and event cards.
Birthday Cards are special cards (worth 2) the owners send to you (along with our wishes) that feature your favorite deity/person/subject, and can change every year you're a member. To be on the 'birthday list', you need to send in your favorite subject so we know what to make for you. You can do that here.
