The Auction House has the first package up for bid, so use those coins you have to win extra cards.

Member Favorite
The member favorite deck, a special deck based on what you the members love, is ready for submissions! The theme for this set is favorite mythological creature. Go and submit your image. But, you have to be fast! Only one claim per creature, so get yours in before someone takes your favorite creature. For now, we will do one round and then a second one since we don't quite have 20 members yet.

Contests
There is a contest going on to see who can make the Best Button for Myths and Legends! The ending date is September 30th.

Thanks to everyone who is participating so far. I really appreciate all of you doing what you can to bring this game back up out of the muck.

I want you all to know that I have created all of the games for the hiatus, so I will put up the page they will be rotated on appropriately right before I leave to go. Not all of the games, though. I won't be able to rotate the find pixels, link and scroll games since that would be just really hard. :P And I can't put random member on the rotation since we have no member cards.

Of course, you could always go and make a member card. Then that game can come to life, too!

I will have my computer with me, so I will be able to make card sets since that's only dependent on what I have on this laptop. No internet connection needed! Though, I do have five new sets waiting to be released with this Monday's updates. I wanted to leave behind something new.

So, I will see you guys on Monday with your game updates and some new card sets. Don't forget about the contest either!

Well guess what? It's opening time! Everything has been set up and we are now ready to go.

I've sent out all of the starter packs already. If you didn't get yours, something somewhere messed up. Just let me know by email and I will resend it.

You can donate all that you want. If there's a myth, legend, creature or person/god/hero that you'd like a deck for, consider submitting or suggesting it.

Also, for all of you prejoiners, don't forget to grab one of the prejoin badges for your page so that everyone will know that you were with us from the start.

Admin Notes
As you know, I will be moving around September 10th. Don't worry, I will put up games for a month with an autoupdate script so that the games will not go on hiatus. Forms and replies will be slow, but I will have my laptop and do my best to find WiFi areas where I can access things.

Let me tell you a story of my life...

Myths & Legends has been around for years. It has gone through two owners before me. Around October of last year, my life got so hectic with college that I had to put it on hiatus. After I finished the semester, I had to do my student teaching. During those months, I was so busy lesson planning and so exhausted that I had no energy or time for anything else. Because of this, Myths & Legends stayed on extended hiatus.

Well, now I have graduated college and have become a certified teacher. I have TONS of time now and have decided rather than just opening Myths and Legends like normal, I am going to erase everything and start from scratch. It has been so long that I know most members have taken down their pages. I think it would be easier if everyone just joins like this is new.

I have moved the site and cleaned it up. Right now, the staff consists of only me, but I hope to pick up more staff as time goes on. I'll have to see how the TCG progresses. I wanted to use TCG Admin, but the script is so insecure and dangerous that I opted to do everything manually. This website had a small breech in security a few months ago where it was repeatedly infected by a trojan. I want no more of that! This is also why the TCG will no longer have any elements of PHPFanBase.

We are going to run a clean ship here!

Right now, all pre-joiners will get double the regular (worth 1) cards in their starter pack.

EDIT 06.25.08: Fixed the form.

Edit 06.26.08:: I am making a whole pile of new decks tonight to have some stuff to slowly release. I also spent this morning going through and shifting some things to the forms such as level up forms and masters forms to make it easier to manage.

Edit 06.29.08: Added some new activities and redoing cards. I decided to make a new template. I just don't like the old one. I am not sure if it would be realistic to do all of the cards over. What does everyone think? The one with the dotted border is the regular card and the one with the two line borders is the special card.


Edit 06.29.08: I AM redoing the cards using the two templates above. I do have some images saved from the old game, but I will have to do a lot of recollecting. But, trust me, I am putting my whole heart and soul into this. If you want to see the sample deck, view it here. It is the Apollo deck.

Edit 07.01.08: Fixed the affiliate form! Sorry about the trouble. Grr. Also, I have an upcoming list up. This shows all of the decks that I currently have images for and am working on. If you want to donate images, you can refer to this list to see what we have images for already. Feel free to donate! You'll get your prizes for those donations in your starter pack when it's sent out.

Edit 07.02.08: I am still making decks and changing thing around to give us a cleaner and more professional look! I changed what the trophies and ribbons look like on the Hall of Fame page.

Edit 07.18.08: Okay, we have an opening date. I am steadily making decks, so I think we will have more than enough to start us off by August 25th. That gives me a little more than a month to get everything else together.

Edit 08.12.08: Just a check in to let everyone know that I am working behind the scenes to get the games ready for the opening date as well as making cards! I don't want to make too many since I do want to leave lots of things open for donations. See you soon!

Edit 08.16.08: I will be moving, like, right when this TCG goes live. Luckily, I found this autoupdate script that will allow me to create a months worth of games that will rotate on their own so that we don't have to go on hiatus right after opening.

Edit 08.22.08: I updated the information page to show the new first masters trophy, as well as the Hall of Fame. I have gone through and changed the randomizer and increased the prizes for many of the games.

Edit 08.31.08: Starter packs are going out today, so let me know if you didn't get yours. Tomorrow is opening day and everything is all set and ready to go. :D
